Teaching






I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and love of the classical guitar with others. I have skills in individual and group teaching, and in preparing students for music examinations and auditions.

Current teaching activities
- I’m based in the Clarendon Park area of Leicester, and offer individual and group lessons. My fees for individual lessons are £36 for one hour or £18 for 30 minutes.
- Beginners and players of all ages and abilities are welcome. I have over 30 years teaching experience.
- Lessons can be either online or in person.
- 100% pass rate in all grade examinations.
- All examination boards covered including the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Trinity College of Music and the London College of Music.
- I’ve taught all grades, from Initial to Diploma level.
- I am DBS checked.
- ISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians) Registered Private Teacher.
- I am a tutor on the Music Scholarship programme at Leicester University.
- I provide opportunities for my students to perform in public. Here are some audience comments from my most recent Student Concert.
- I regularly design and lead workshops for the classical guitar. Recently these have included two workshops at Hellys International Guitar Festival August 2023, and a Guitar Ensemble Workshop, Leicester MusicFest, February 2023.
